pics when i visited aberdeen in 2003. quite a far ride from sheffield, nevertheless, the place was beautiful and i was particularly ethusiastic in sighting the sea up close again. (kat sheffield takde laut)
the sea has that calming effect on me. it is blue (my fave colour), and vast...reminds me again, how huge the earth is, and how insignificant we are.
it also reminds me of this particular verse in the Holy Quran:
" Say: "If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if We brought (another sea) like it for its aid ." [Holy Quran: Al-Kahfi, verse 110]
reminding us humans, that, no matter how learned we think we are, no matter how advanced in technology we get to be, no matter how we come to discover things we never knew before...it is from God. Whatever knowledge we have with us, the fact that we have it, means that God has permit us to have that knowledge, to be used for the benefit of mankind. :bounce_b:
